The Inka one of the most advanced civilizations in the Americas has stewarded and synthesized more than 10,000 years of medicine traditions. This important body of knowledge has been transmitted across generations of healers and shamans in high mountain monasteries, buried pyramids in the desert, hidden shrines in the Amazon Rainforest. Generations upon generations of Healers, Sages, Visionaries have revolutionized and mastered ways to effectively heal, transform, and envision the human potential.
I’d like to invite you in this exciting journey of exploration and growth through the Shaman’s Cosmovision of Power and Healing. This old tradition of love and power has been used effectively to attain benefit in the course of one’s life and will be able to heal and empower your lives and communities. These ancient maps teaches us to engage reality through heart-centered processes, securing optimal conditions for wellbeing, creativity, equilibrium and enlightenment. Shamans view life as an interplay of Pachas. Pachas are archetypal expressions of time and space and constitute evolutionary stages through which life evolves and fulfills itself. This Peruvian based training series has been carefully structured to bring you tools, insights, and visionary skills. It consists of four training sessions and exploration on the nature of our personal journey.
The first session explores the memories of the soul, our individual and collective past imprinted with wounds and core beliefs. We learn the ways of the land, the ways of the Great Mother as we retrieve long lost soul pieces. We recover and heal our wounded past, through ceremonies, and we break free from the bindings of imprints and patterns. We awaken the “Hampeq” or healer archetype within us and track the Kausay or vital force that informs our journey. We learn to understand our imprints, wounds, behaviors, karma, potentials, vision. We learn to assemble reality by engaging in perceptual shifts and awaken the memories of our healed states. We explore the governing forces of nature and learn the anatomy of the luminous filed. Though exercises, we learn to track the nature of our stories and the energies that populate them. Through healing ceremonies and perceptual shifts, we are able to deepen our understanding of our sense of self and the necessary healing. We explore healing practices around Soul Retrieval and removal of imprints.
The second session teaches you the nature of perception and the Shaman’s way of seeing. We awaken the “Kawaq” or seer-tracker-visionary archetype. Shamans engage in perceptual shifts to gather information. Their fine tuned seeing states allow them to understand the nature of reality differently. Non-ordinary reality, outside the visible and outside the cultural trance state, is the source of unbiased information. We master lucid hypnagogic states and through exercises, we are able to reawaken the old neurosynaptic network that used to connect us to the luminous nature of the universe. We learn how to achieve heightened states of awareness and step outside our cultural trance that defines our capabilities and limitations. We learn to change the momentum of the past that expresses our health, our journey, our mind. We change our relationship with the cultural conditioning, which predisposes healing. When we “track” the imprint of our cultural conditioning and the inherent healed state of the body. Once the state is identified, the rate of healing accelerates and life improves exponentially.
The third session is an exploration into the nature of Time and the Essential Self. We awaken the “Yachaq” or Sage within and renegotiate our limiting belief systems. The shaman believes that by perceiving time differently we experience the mystery of creation and the blessings of our lives. Our reenactment of past time keeps us bound to a predeterminate future. The shaman engages in massive perceptual shifts to change this cause-effect conundrum. Through the process, new trans-temporal doorways open up to new territories of consciousness. We explore the mystery teachings outside of time and bring awareness and availability to our own becoming. Using tracking modalities we learn to psycho-navigate in different realms of consciousness and become familiar with spirit guides and healing tools. We learn the subtleties of energy as we develop our own medicine body by weaving ourselves into the energy matrix of nature. The shaman sees the universe as a luminous matrix that weaves all realities together through “Cekes” or luminous strands. The shaman’s eyes of light: minds, hearts, and bellies are tightly woven into this matrix or “Kausay Pacha”. Through ceremonies we connect into this living matrix and obtain insights and healing.
The last session deals with the nature of Life and Death, permanence and impermanence. The tradition says that shamans are twice born. They die to the old self, to the old story, so they change their relationship with time. As they are born again, they are claimed by Spirit, by the fullness of life. These are people who have mastered the techniques of stepping beyond death, beyond time, and glimpsed infinity. Periodically, shamans have to die symbolically to the old self to maintain perspective. The need to “map’ the lands of the dead to embrace the ancestors and become bridges between the living and the death is central to their cosmo-vision. In doing so, they develop a “Jaguar Body” which is the epitome of full presence and vision. Through ritual and Rites of Passage, we’ll change our malleable luminous circuitry of vision by laying new neurological pathways in the brain’s luminous field. We should be able to see and process information multi sensorially, bridging all the senses. Through Rebirth and Transformation ceremonies, we explore our individual and collective guiding mythologies and the big transitions or Pachas in our journey. Like the Jaguar Shamans, we learn ways to conquer our fears and do “Tupay” or battle conflict with the archetypes of human consciousness and come out victorious.
Throughout this training, we create a Mesa or Medicine Bundle that becomes our animistic map of transformation and healing across the medicine path. The Shaman’s Altar is a mythic depiction of the mystery and channels the land’s sentient energy and symbolize the principles of relations and equivalence. Like quantum entanglement, the shaman weaves alternate realities energy filaments called Cekes for healing and transformation. The Mesa is a mediator, energy compiler, and source of information the shaman utilizes. A powerful Body of Knowledge, Ritual, Healing Techniques, and Rites of Passage become the axis of the relationship between the shaman and the Mesa. This training on Inka Pachas comprises a series of four long weekends. To obtain maximum gain, commitment to all four sessions is required.

One of the greatest tasks the shaman undertakes is to journey to the lands of the death. The need to map the territories of the afterlife through direct experience is an essential tool. As a midwife between states, the shaman assists the dying to cross the great bridge into the land of the ancestors. They say the journey sometimes might be perilous and fearful, but she knows how to awaken the soul’s “Mallki” (Ancestorship) memory and direct the dying into the territory of beginnings and endings. Through training and Death Rites ceremonies, the shaman ignites the knowingness and dimensions of her temporal and trans temporal nature. Journeying to the afterlife to befriend with death mythically promotes keen awareness of her own life’s journey.
Our cultural cosmovision of the predatory nature of death puts us in an antagonistic and fearful position in the exercise of life. This primordial fear, harnesses our daily lives through a plethora of masks distancing us from the fullness of life. Learning the shamanic cosmovision of death and dying rituals awakens primal awareness and elicits deeper understanding on the purpose of our life’s journey. Most importantly, we awaken to the spiritual dimension of the inherent animating force and memory the soul provides.
We’ll explore the different ancient rich views of shamans of the journey into the afterlife. In the mountains, the departed soul is accompanied by a dog to cross the great river in the skies into the land of the dead. Or, Chokechinchay -the hail jaguar- has a mighty rainbow body that spans into many hierarchies of the heavens. Or in Lake Titikaka, the soul needs to return to the place of all origins by submerging into the depths of the lake to find the island of Upamarka. However, the shaman strives to become an ancestor in the afterlife. Apus and Wakas (holy places) are repositories for the lineage of individuals of power and legacy.
The workshop will explore practical and compassionate ways to help the dying move beyond fear and approach the last stages of life as an opportunity for growth and learning. Here are other areas of exploration:
Understanding death in our own lives through the view of Pachas. View of death and grieving as a courageous and elegant process. Journeying and communing with the ones that passed before us. Shamanic journeying to the lands beyond to gain perspective with the assistance of spirit guides
Death Rites Ceremony and assisting the dying and their families Rituals that bring wholeness and balance to our own “little deaths”.
